A snapshot of two successful community workshops

First community workshop in 2021

We held the first community workshop of the year in Lower Hutt on 11th February.

The Lower Hutt workshop is the fourth of a series. We engaged with the participants to share their thoughts about the feasibility of an earthquake early warning system for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Twenty-eight participants openly shared their opinions including their levels of benefits and trust, concerns, and expectations. Some concerns raised include accessibility to the internet and other media, and public education.

We plan to hold more community workshops in Upper Hutt, Gisborne and Seddon.
